Submerged

Submerged
Beneath the surface.

It's time for me to get wet. The burst of company has already come and gone and now it's time for me to dive deep down beneath the surface of my everyday life. There are places where God is calling me to, way below in the darkness of His waters. I feel this so strongly and am now anticipating what these places will bring. There is a pressing and a stirring in my spirit. I feel as though everyone should be experiencing this exact urging, but I understand that the Lord does not always work that way.

What a difference a day makes without any distractions from the world. It's quite a feat to be fully detached from the hustle of it all, separated from the media, the foulness from the mouths of peers and the everyday moments that attempt to steal our focus and motivation. (This is not as difficult for those living in the bubbles of Bible College - enjoy it while you are there)!

Today I left the television off and put on some fantastic music (I highly recommend Building 429). My mood was instantly lifted and my hearing was suddenly strengthened. Perhaps this is a lot of "Churchy" symbolism, but I have no other way to describe it!

I encourage you to get submerged! Do it now! Remove the distractions that you have welcomed into your daily routines and leave room for the things that are purely important to rise to the surface.

"It is in our idleness, in our dreams, that the submerged truth sometimes comes to the top."
- Virginia Woolf
